Julien's Christmas Article
Written by Julien, my 7 year old son!When the snow starts to fall and the red, blue and green lights go up I know that it will be Christmas soon. Some things I like most about Christmas is decorating the Christmas tree, seeing all the light displays, spending time with my family and of course getting presents!
The first thing we do to get ready for the Christmas season is decorate the Christmas tree, there's so many cool ornaments that we haven't seen in a year and they are fun to unpack because we forget what we have. The finishing touch is putting the star on top. I like that job, it makes me happy.
Something else that makes me happpy is how the Christmas lights in so many colours light up the streets at night. They look pretty in the falling snow. I look forward to seeing the Christmas lights display that our town makes. Also, its fun to help my family put up our own Christmas lights.
Spending time with my family is great because I get to see relatives that I don't see very often, and share in the Christmas feast! While eating my family likes telling Christmas jokes and stories.
And of course, since a kid can never have too many toys, the best part of Christmas is that you get a lot of presents! It is good to give other people presents too because I like to make people happy. It is a lot of fun to open Christmas presents because you never know what you are going to get.
Christmas is so much fun! Everyone has their own reasons why they like Christmas. These are a few of my reasons. I hope everyone has a nice christmas, I know I will like mine!
